The BIR Registration Seal Badge (often called the BIR QR Badge) is an official digital badge issued by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) in the Philippines. Introduced under Revenue Memorandum Circular (RMC) No. 38-2026, it serves as verifiable online proof that a merchant, service provider, or digital business is officially registered with the BIR. ​Key Features & Purpose ​Protecting Sensitive Business Information: Previously, online businesses were expected to upload their full Certificate of Registration (COR / eCOR). The BIR QR Badge was created so merchants can showcase proof of tax registration without publicly revealing sensitive personal or internal details. ​QR Code Verification: The badge contains a embedded QR Code. Scanning it directs users to the official BIR verification portal ([https://verify.bir.gov.ph](https://verify.bir.gov.ph)) to confirm the taxpayer's registration status in real time. ​Preventing Fraud: It helps consumers distinguish legitimate registered vendors and service providers from unverified or unregistered online operations.
